Religious Dimension
This term we gratefully welcome back the opportunity to service our community via CentaCare. CentaCare services are varied – every service tendered has a background of Catholic social justice principles striving to meet the welfare needs of local families in need. On Wednesdays, over the next two terms, each class will have the chance to provide non-perishable food items in helping CentaCare achieve their mission. Please watch out for your child’s class letter explaining more.
Our Liturgical group will be hosting our Mother’s Day Liturgy on Friday 7 May at 2pm in the JHPAC. All welcome, please join us. Many families will celebrate Mother’s Day showing their appreciation for the achievements and efforts of mothers and mother figures. On behalf of Catherine McAuley School, may all the women associated with us receive the love and appreciation they truly deserve. We are blessed to have such wonderful female examples in our lives. Know you are deeply cherished.
God’s Gift
Mothers are a special gift, a special gift that God gave to us. We’d be lost and lonely without her, our world without a fuss. We love her so very much; we couldn’t bear to be without her healing touch. Thank you God for giving us such a loving Mother, for we wouldn’t want to be a part of no other. Amen
The month of May is dedicated to Mary, Jesus’s mother. Rather fitting really considering we always celebrate Mother’s Day in May. May is usually the time we begin to recite the Rosary. Catholics around the world say the Rosary to obtain peace for the world. There are no better peacemakers than our mums. Over the month of May, at each prayerful gathering, as a whole school, we will recite one decade of the Rosary to honour Mary and to pray for peace in our lives and around the world. The Rosary represents the significant events in the life of Jesus Christ. The rosary is often used as a guide for other Catholic prayers. These prayers are related to challenges or celebrations in the life of one praying the rosary or on behalf of another for whom the prayers are said.
