Defence Families

We know Defence life can be difficult for some children and we are here to support those students and their families through their time in South Australia. Many Defence families choose to send their children to Catherine McAuley School because of the care and understanding we provide to these students.

We know that children of Defence members face particular issues at home and school, that is why, in partnership with Defence Community Organisation, Catherine McAuley has a Defence Mentor on site who works closely with our Defence families to mentor and support children through postings, deployments and times of absence.

Our strong ties with secondary schools in our area also helps Defence students to transition to their final years of schooling in a supportive and familiar environment.

DEFENCE FAMILY TOURS AND EVENTS

Catherine McAuley School runs special tours and events specifically for the Defence community. We know it can be difficult to see us in person prior to enrolment, so we offer special Zoom Tours, holiday tours and virtual interviews.
